Our Story

I moved to Courtice with my family 23 years ago and have been a skating coach in the area for over two decades. I love this community and am proud to still call Courtice home.

When the Coronavirus hit in March 2020, I was unable to continue teaching in any capacity. Rather than rely solely on government assistance, I decided to explore different avenues to support my family and continue serving our community.

I tried various delivery services initially, which worked well, but then I started exploring the junk removal option. I quickly realized I was able to provide a much-needed service with a degree of professionalism that was rare in the industry.

What started as a way to make ends meet during difficult times has grown into RJR Demolition & Junk Removal - a trusted local business that serves Durham Region with pride. My clients are always happy with the service, and even happier to have saved money compared to the big corporate chains.

Today, we've expanded our services to include professional demolition work while maintaining the same personal touch and community focus that started it all.
